Oakdene House Foundation ‘changing lives’
Your Club supports many local community-focused organisations through funding contributions and sponsorship. One of the current projects that we support is the Oakdene House Foundation, which is located just around the corner from the Club. Oakdene has been established to offer support, information and services to those affected by gambling and alcohol. It has a special focus on assisting and supporting the families of those whose lives are affected by gambling and alcohol.

Busy bees prepare La Tratt honey
Why all this talk of bees and honey? The Club has installed our own hives. Located adjacent to our rooftop herb garden hives have been installed and the 300,000 resident bees are busy collecting pollen and nectar from the local gardens to produce fresh honey for our kitchens and the local community. Rooftop wonderland – a bumper crop of goodies
Whilst you are dining, playing or socialising at Fairfield RSL, there are herbs, fruits and vegetables sleepily growing just a few metres above you on our rooftop! The trend to pursue more sustainable options for supplies and to ‘connect’ kitchen and restaurant staff and customers with the source of products has grown like crazy in the past few years.
Tranquility on your arrival
Imagine a long, green-blue pool, fringed by native palms, long grasses and lush hedging. In the centre stand five Balinese bowls, elevated on plinths and overflowing with water. The movement sends ripples across the Italian mosaic that lines the pool’s floor and water laps at the bluestone of the pool’s edges. At night, soft lights illuminate the five bowls, glinting off the flowing water and the leaves of the plants in the surrounding gardens. Click to read more.
